TOKYO MOTOR SHOW 2019 [Travelog#3] – Famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing & Meeting My Friend Hachiko
The Shibuya intersection is probably the most famous intersection in the world. With five roads intersecting in front of possibly the most-visited train station in Tokyo, it means a huge mix of human and automotive traffic. One minute the road is full of vehicles and the moment the lights change, the entire intersection is filled with people crossing the very same intersection. This is really a fascinating sight to watch.
Just in front of Shibuya Station there is a statue of Japan’s most famous dog, Hachiko, who waited for seven years for his master to come home from work, not knowing he had passed away. This was a true story, and a couple of movies were made. Every time I go to Shibuya Station I make it a point to go over and say hello. Man’s best friend!
