Volkswagen Beetle 1.2 TSi, 2019 (Pt.2) Genting Hillclimb – Last Chance for this Nostalgia Drive!

2019 is the last year of production for the iconic Beetle; even though it is very different from the first Beetle, the ladybird shape holds many memories for many of us, especially the baby boomers; the Beetle was very much a part of us, but alas, all good things must come to an end.

We don’t know what the replacement will be like, or if there will be a replacement, but please, VW, please do not throw away the blueprints – if one day you decide to do a limited run, hopefully I will have the money to buy one and keep for posterity. Those of you who can afford one, do go out and get one, and keep it lovingly, because one day it will be very valuable.

As to how this Beetle behaved on the hillclimb, I must say this car probably gave me the most fun or highest smile ratio for a 1.2 litre car.
