TC Subaru Sdn Bhd which has exclusive distributorship of Subaru vehicles in Malaysia says that all its showrooms and service centres, which operate under Motor Image (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd have reopened and are back in business. However, in view of the current situation and Subaru’s obsession with safety inside and outside their cars, the showrooms and service centres have put in stringent protocols to ensure your safety and provide you peace of mind.
Test Drive at Home
For those who do not wish to leave the safety of their homes to travel to a showroom, TC Subaru has set up a ‘Test Drive at Home’ initiative. Customers can call any showroom and make an appointment for a sales consultant to drive a Subaru vehicle to them for a test drive. All vehicles are thoroughly sanitised before and after test drives, following a strict protocol to clean all touch points, including centre armrests, door handles, gear knobs, and so on.
All sales consultants are equipped with face masks and sanitisers, and have their temperature checked upon coming to work and two more times during the day. Any staff who has a temperature or any respiratory symptoms will be turned away and asked to see a doctor.
Enhanced Measures for Customer Safety
TC Subaru has also put in place enhanced cleaning and safe distancing measures in all its work areas. All touch points, including computers, stationery, counters, desktops and common areas are sanitised daily before the start of the workday and at the end of the day. Staff are also required to wear face masks at work.
For customers, those with body temperatures of 37.5°C and above will not be allowed to enter showrooms and service centres. All visitors must also provide their contact details to facilitate contact tracing.
To ensure safe distancing, the company is also limiting the number of customers in Subaru showrooms at any one time. Markers are in place to establish physical distancing of at least one metre. During this period, refreshments will not be served in showrooms.
In adherence to regulations, TC Subaru has to close waiting areas at service centres. Customers are requested to send in their vehicles and return to pick them up after the job is completed. Customers are also advised not to bring their children along. All vehicles will be thoroughly sanitised before and after each job. Cashless payment options are encouraged.
Customers visiting showrooms or service centres in Selangor can download the state’s SELangkah app, an online registration system to ease contact tracing for individuals entering premises in the state.
Customers can find showroom and service centre contact information and operating hours in the official Subaru website – https://www.subaru.asia/my.
Further updates will be available on the company’s social media pages @subaruasia on Facebook and Instagram.
