Revised Prices For Toyota And Lexus Following Sales Tax Exemption

UMW Toyota Motor Sdn Bhd (UMWT), the distributor of Toyota and Lexus vehicles in Malaysia has announced revised prices for Toyota and Lexus vehicles following the sales tax exemption. The new prices, effective 15th June 2020, reflects the incentives provided to the Malaysian automotive industry announced by the Prime Minister.

A Relief For Consumers

“Toyota vehicles are now more affordable than ever. Customers should take this opportunity to upgrade or purchase a new Toyota. All relief from the new tax structure have been factored into the new pricing, considered in the best interest of our customers. Price changes vary between our CKD and CBU model line-up,” said Mr. Ravindran K., President of UMWT.

Sales tax on all new vehicles see exemption of either 100% (for locally assembled/ CKD) or 50% (for fully imported/CBU). In effect, vehicle prices have been reduced from between 1% to 6%. In addition to the above, UMW Toyota Motor also announced the new prices with its latest monthly Sales Promotion and Rebates.
