When you have limited range (battery power) left, you will get this malady called “Range Anxiety”, a term that is new for fully electric cars (EV). EV’s are different from Plug-in hybrids (PHEV) in that unlike the normal hybrids and plug-in hybrids, there is no engine to fall back on when the batteries run out.

Whilst the stated range may seem adequate, under actual driving conditions which may involve climbing up inclines and overtaking, the real range can be somewhat unpredictable.
