Electric Zoe Pt 2 – Having A Bit of Fun Down Old Gombak Road – After Charging / YS Khong Driving

Here is Part 2 of our Electric Zoe Adventure – After nearly an hour of charging, and a snack at the nearby MCD, our Range Anxiety woes are over, and we check out the old Genting Sempah – Gombak road. This was one of the roads that shaped my early years of driving.

Whilst on my way to and from my sales coverage area for the sales of heavy equipment (which covered the entire East Coast from Bentong to Kota Bharu), I had to make frequent trips to the East Coast, and that helped to hone my cornering skills.

I remember, once on a Friday evening, after official qualifying, one day before my race, I got a call from my client in Temerloh. I rushed up that same evening in my Datsun, all decked up with my racing decals, signed the purchase order, and got back to Petaling Jaya the same night.

That road holds many fond memories – including one that was a bit scary – I think a part of it is or was haunted….but that’s another story.
