Subsequent to the National Recovery Plan announcement by the government, Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn Bhd (ETCM) has notified that Nissan showrooms throughout Malaysia are open again. The reopening comes after restrictions on businesses and industries were put in place as part of the Movement Control Order (MCO) set by the government. The exception are the Nissan showrooms in the states of Kedah, Malacca and Johor which remain closed for the time being.
To continue ensuring the health and safety of its customers and staff, all Nissan showrooms and service centres will adhere to and maintain compliance with strict SOPs (standard operating procedures) set by the authorities. This is also done to give better a peace-of-mind experience to customers at all times.
ETCM has stated that only vaccinated employees, who have also passed the post-vaccination period, are allowed to resume work in Nissan showrooms. Furthermore, all employees will be wearing face mask, undergo frequent body temperature check, and regular disinfecting will be carried out at the showrooms. In addition, the display and test drive vehicles will also be disinfected regularly.
All customers and visitors to Nissan showrooms and service centres are also advised to comply with the SOPs when visiting the premises. Visitors will be checked on vaccination status including the post-vaccine period, and asked to provide proof of digital certificate on MySejahtera. Visitors will also have their body temperature checked and are required to wear a face mask in the premises. All other SOPs set by the government also apply.
