Perodua Myvi 1.5 AV 2022 – Km/lit with CVT, Better or Worse that 4-Speed Auto? YS Khong Driving
Now that the 2022 Perodua Myvi has moved to a Constantly Variable Transmission (CVT), I am sure many would be customers are curious to know if it can get better fuel efficiency than the old 4-speed automatic gearbox.
YS Khong puts it to the test, doing a ‘mixed’ terrain run over a distance of 5o kilometers at normal speeds and a light throttle to simulate what a typical driver would get if he drives in a similar fashion.
Note that the results are a reference point only, and also note that the speedometer and fuel consumption readouts are as supplied on the standard Myvi 1.5 AV, running on standard tyres as supplied with the car and the instruments have not been calibrated for accuracy. In other words, what you see is what you get.
Also note that other tests may yield different results due to driving conditions, traffic, ambient temperature, and the weight of the driver’s foot.
