Ford Ranger 2022 is here – Wildtrak & XLT Plus, A Quick Look! | YS Khong Driving
The New Ford Ranger for 2022 was launched here in Malaysia today at the Bukit Jalil Pavilion Exhibition Centre, and it looks really good, but then Ford Rangers has always looked good.
Now with a wider body, (+50mm), and a wider track, it looks more macho and more ‘balanced’, meaning it looks more stable.
There are actually 7 variants, built on two engines, the lower-powered 2.0 single turbo producing 170 PS and a bit lower torque, and the twin turbo 210 PS and 500Nm engine offered in the XLT Plus and the Wildtrak. Included in the seven are also a couple of manual offerings, but on trim level we have basically four, which is the XL, XLT, XLT Plus and Wildtrak.
We did not have enough time to look at all the seven variants, but the top two are the Wildtrak and the XLT Plus – further down the line, the features get less and less, but the prices also go lower, so if you do not have the budget for any of the featured two, the good news is that the prices for the lower variants start for RM114k onwards.

Of course we will try to get a test unit to take up on our favorite road, and perhaps do a bit of off-roading as well. Stay Tuned, and don’t forget to subscribe.
To our loyal supporters and fans, happy motoring, and thanks very much for your support.
