Ativa Hybrid [Launch Review] – Only 300 units, by Subscription plan only, RM500 per month!

Finally, we get to see the highly-anticipated Perodua Ativa Hybrid but except for 300 very lucky people, the rest of us are not likely to drive any of these units for the next five years.

There are only 300 units released by Daihatsu to Perodua for ‘study” purposes, and these are leased to 300 subscribers for a sum of RM300 per month. The subscribers get to use the vehicle, but need to have their journeys monitored: at the end of the subscription, the cars have to be shipped out of the country or scrapped.

The Ativa hybrid is one of the newer generation hybrids, wherein the engine does nothing but charge the batteries to run the electric motors that drive the wheels. More derails in the video.
