How to Drive the Kia EV6 on Extremely Wet Genting Road / Learn Together With YS / YS Khong Driving
It was meant to be our first drive up Genting with the brand new Kia EV6, but it was raining cats and dogs on that morning.
Rather than calling the drive off, we decided to check out if it was okay to drive a fully electric car in extremely wet conditions such as this one, with running water and standing water.
Also we had to adapt to the super quick acceleration, so learning how to drive an electric car in the wet became a totally new learning experience. Luckily for us, the EV6 comes with AWD.
The main difference between an electric car and a normal car is that the electric car comes with enormous torque, so and snap acceleration can throw your vehicle off line, so the main thing to do on top of all the other driving tips is to be more gentle on the accelerator.
Fortunately, the EV6 has a very good tractuon and stability control system that helps very much, and the tyres are also very grippy.
Anyway, we got through unscathed, and returned the next day for a much drier run.
