The Harrier was Toyota’s first offerong in the premium SUV segment, and together with the early RAV4, which was slightly smaller then, pioneered the move from sedans to SUV.

The early Harriers were grey imports, and they very quickly became popular, and somewhere along the line, UMW Toyota began to import some units, and today you can buy a Harrier from any Toyota dealership.
