It was a challenge thrown both to Abang Gan and myself – that the new 2023 Perodua Axia would not make it up Genting if loaded with 5 adults – Challenge Accepted, by Abang Gan, who invited me to drive his personal 1.0 liter Perodua Axia (in stock standard trim) up our favorite mountain.

So it was up the mountain we went, after meeting up at Genting Sempah. I think the total weight of the five of us was in excess of 400kg, taking into account Abang Gan’s claimed weight of 60+ kg.
