Scooby Version 8 Fan Car – 15 years Old, But Still A Scorcher Up Genting / YS Khong Driving

Finally we got a fan who let us have a go up our favorite mountain in his Subaru STi Version 8. It is about 15 years old, but still has a lot of go.
Of course it is a manual, with a 6-speed gearbox – it has a bit of minor stuff done to it, the most significant one being the blow-off valve, as we can all hear from the video.
Other than that, plus a few hoses here and there to increase reliability, the engine and car are pretty much stock.

After driving the car, I can now understand how the Scooby can do so well in rallies. It is very well set-up and takes all the corners with ease.

I tried to fit a foot cam, but the two-way tape for the camera mount wouldn’t stick (I think there was some silicone sprayed onto the plastic cover under the steering. Sorry about that but you can still stee some footwork from the rear-mounted camera.)
