Toyota Fortuner, 2015 – Slipping on Sand – Drive to the Boondocks / YS Khong Driving

We take a 2015 Toyota Fortuner and go for a drive with the owner, Asher to the boondocks to check out the comfort and handling.

Built on the same IMV platform as the Hilux, the Fortuner has a SUV body instead, and the combination of double wishbones in front and coil spring suspension at the back give it a more comfortable ride.

Driving on the highway, it is fine, and is definitely more comfortable than my Hilux, but how will it do on dirt – will it be too soft, or will it be difficult to drive?

Anyway, driving on dirt is always a challenge – we have two views – one from the inside looking out, and one just from the front screen – this will allow you to see the difference , because then you can see the hand action required as you make the Fortuner do your bidding. Reminds me of the good old days, hahaha.
