Is After Warranty Car Suitable for 0W Engine Oil? | YS Khong Driving
I have not had any engine break down on me for the last 20 years, and the secret is actually simpler than one thinks – it’s mostly related to the lubrication, i.e. in the engine oil you use.
A good engine oil makes all the difference, because the most important role it performs is the formation of a super-thin protective layer between two mating surfaces, thus preventing any undue wear and tear. Most OEMs are moving to 0W oils, and Shell’s 0W 99.5% pure base oils are extracted from Natural Gas, which means you get a more stable base oil that provides superior lubrication even under extreme operating conditions.
