Toyota Veloz Officially Launched in Malaysia – 7-seater SUV, RM95,000/Quick Preview/YSKhong Driving.

The much awaited Toyota Veloz is finally here in Malaysia, and will be in showrooms starting from tomorrow morning.

The Veloz is built on the same platform as the Perodua Alza, and shares the same mechanocals: however the build is slightly different: ground clearance is 190mm, about 30mm higher than that of the Alza, and the tuning approach is more towards a sporty SUV. Thus the suapension tuning is different, with the Veloz claiming to provide more sporty handling.

The wheels are 17- inch with lower profile tyres than in the Alza, and there are a pair of roof rails for those who want to fit a roof box. With proper rails, the rood box or rack can take a total of 75 kg of load.

The Veloz also features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus the full complement of Toyota Safety Sense.

Price is RM95,000 OTR without insurance.
