Mazda MX 30 | Fully Electric SUV | Genting Drive | 199km Range – Enough Juice? / YS Khong Driving
Mazda built the MX 30 fully-electric car with very specific objectives in mind. They planned for the MX 30 to have a short range, the main aim was to make available a vehicle for commuters and short haul drivers can use, and charge up every one or two days, and they felt that 199km range was good enough.
Back to YS Khong Driving – so we all know that our viewers want to know if the car can make it up Genting – so we accepted the challenge to really check it out to see if it could go up and down without recharging.
The battery level was a little bit marginal by the time we finished enjoying the climb, and we kind of bought ‘insurance’ by getting a bit of juice from a huge ‘powerbank’ (LOL), which is actually one of our friend’s Kia EV6, which still had plenty of power left; the EV6 has a little outlet that allowed us to siphon off some battery charge into the MX30.
We certainly could have made it back even without the recharge, but why don’t you watch the entire video to see the whole story.
Thanks for being with us, and till we meet again in the next video, Bye!
