Whilst the automotive workshops can do most of the maintenance work for us, there are a few basic things we can do to keep our cars in tip-top condition. There are also certain things like windscreen washer fluid that may run out before the next service is due.

With service intervals getting longer and longer, we should be able to make certain maintenance checks on our own: sometimes we may need to take long trips, and being able to perform these checks would be good and provide peace of mind.
